XHTML Web Page with Deliberate Error

This web page exists only to demonstrate the effects of including a deliberate error in the xhtml code. Hardly any xhtml web pages are actually served correctly as application/xhtml+xml. As a result, most web browsers simply treat such pages as badly written html. Such pages merely demonstrate that some web browsers have very liberal error correction. Note that for this demonstration to show an error, the xhtml web page must be served correctly, as application/xhtml+xml

Text without Error

This paragraph does not include any deliberate errors.

Text with Deliberate Error

The next paragraph does not have a closing paragraph tag. Therefore, an XML style parser in a web browser will not show rest of the web page, and may not show any of the web page. This ensures authors do not leave technical coding errors in their web pages.
