Carlton Theatre auditorium at Carlyle Square, Condon is at Carlyle Gardens Retirement Village, Townsville's premier lifestyle resort. The Carlton Theatre function space is available for selected business, educational and personal functions. The main room has space for hundreds of people indoors for meetings, or around 300 at tables for banquet or food functions. The purpose built function room was constructed around the year 2000 for use by residents at Carlyle Gardens Retirement Resort, but is now also available for selected hospitality events.

The stage can hold a 20 piece band, as demonstrated when the 1RAR band perform for residents of Carlyle Gardens. There is a dance floor directly below the stage. There is also a capable sound system to augment the video projector.

The Carlton Theatre auditorium is operated by the Carlton Theatre Group, who provide cleaning and booking services, as well as improvements to the facilities.
